Detailed Production Stages
| Production Stage | Factory‑tone Explanation (for clients) | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
1. Artwork & Digital Proof Final vector; confirm size, Pantone, plating & backing. |
We convert your artwork into production-ready vector files and issue a concise proof. All critical parameters (exact size, Pantone matches, metal finish, and backing) are locked at this point. Revisions after tooling incur additional tooling time and cost. | 1–2 days |
2. Die / Mold Making CNC tool made to the approved proof. |
We produce the CNC die that defines raised and recessed areas. Dies are precision‑checked and stored for reorders. Tooling is a one-time setup cost and is only released once you approve the final mock. | 1–3 days |
3. Die Striking / Stamping & Cutting Stamp blanks, then cut to shape. |
Metal sheets are stamped with the die and trimmed to profile. We maintain tight tolerances to ensure consistent edge finish and alignment for subsequent plating and enamel work. | 1–2 days |
4. Surface Preparation & Polishing Polish raised areas; prep for plating. |
Parts are tumbled and hand-polished where required to remove burs and prepare the surface for plating. This step prevents plating defects and improves final luster. | 1–2 days |
5. Plating Electroplating to chosen finish. |
We plate with the selected finish (gold, silver, black nickel, antique, etc.). Plating baths are monitored for thickness and color consistency; multiple passes may be used for specialty finishes. | 2–4 days |
6. Enamel Filling (Soft or Hard) Color fills and layer‑by‑layer cure. |
Enamel is manually or semi-automatically dispensed into recessed areas. For multi-color artwork we sequence fills to avoid contamination. Hard enamel requires additional grinding and polishing to achieve a flush surface. | 2–5 days |
7. Baking / Curing & Coating Stabilize enamel; optional epoxy coat. |
Enamel is heat-cured to harden; optional epoxy or protective coatings are applied for additional durability. Each coating is inspected for bubbles and visual defects. | 1–2 days |
8. Attachment Fittings Solder or press on clutches, pins. |
Backings (butterfly clutch, rubber clutch, magnets, etc.) are installed and secured. We verify centering and rotational alignment so pins sit correctly on garments. | 0.5–1 day |
9. Quality Control Inspection: color, plating, fit, finish. |
Each batch passes a 3-point inspection: visual color match vs proof, plating uniformity, and mechanical attachment strength. Defective units are reworked or rejected per agreed tolerance levels. | 0.5–1 days |
10. Packaging & Dispatch Pack per spec; prepare shipping docs. |
Final packaging (polybag, backing card, boxes) and labeling are applied. We generate packing lists and handle export documentation if required. Orders are staged for shipment with carrier labeling. | 0.5–2 days |
