Everything You Need To Know About Custom Pin Pricing

Understand your options before you configure — so your quote reflects exactly what you need.

Soft Enamel

Recessed color fills with raised metal borders. Textured feel, vibrant colors, most affordable. The go-to for most orders.

Hard Enamel

Polished flush surface — smooth, durable, premium-feeling. Preferred for corporate gifts and high-end collector pins.

Die Struck

Pure metal, no enamel fill. Debossed or embossed design gives a classic, weighty, jewelry-like result.

Offset Printed

Full-color printing on metal. Best for photos, gradients, or any artwork that enamel fill can't faithfully reproduce.

Buying tips

6 Ways To Get the Best Price

Order more, pay less

The per-unit price drops sharply at 200, 500, and 1,000 units. Consider a group order or pre-sale to hit a tier.

Keep it 1–1.25"

Most wearable, most affordable, enough detail for nearly any design. The sweet spot for price-to-impact ratio.

Limit colors to 5–6

Colors 1–3 cost nothing extra. Simplify your palette — it often makes the design punchier, too.

Plan your timeline

Standard production (14 days) + shipping (10–18 days) ≈ 4 weeks total. Rush fees can add 15–25%.

Reorder the same design

The mold fee is one-time. Your second batch skips that cost entirely, making reorders significantly cheaper.

Stick with polybag

Unless you're selling at retail, polybag keeps packaging cost at $0 and your pins fully protected in transit.
